Works with a separate hot water cylinder (usually in an airing cupboard) but doesn’t need a loft tank. Suitable for homes with more than one bathroom, as it can supply adequate hot water to multiple taps at once.

Requires both a hot water cylinder and a cold water storage tank, usually located in the loft. Common in older homes, it’s suited to properties with existing traditional heating systems.
